Months later, Claire is captured by a notorious gang of bikers, the Demon Guardians, the same gang Ty has infiltrated.

Ty and his partner, Luke, have managed to earn the trust of the gang they are trying to shut down. When a senior gang member orders Ty to prove his loyalty by having sex with Claire, all he can think about is getting her to safety - until he sees the desire burning in her eyes.

Reunited with the woman he's been unable to forget, Ty becomes determined to bind Claire to him. He'll prove he wants all of her, the good with the bad. In fact, the badder she is, the better they'll be - together.

Review:

Copping to It by Ava Meyers, the first installment in her Red Hot Cops series, is a thrilling, suspenseful and enticingly sensual novella that kept me reading late into the night. Without a doubt this is a masterful start to what will prove to be a highly addictive series and I cannot wait to get my hands on more!

The interesting premise of undercover cop Ty Williamson infiltrating a biker gang instantly drew my attention. For some reason bikers, the real kind and not the weekend-warrior variety, have always seemed fascinating and I admit it, rather alluring to me. Meyers does a nice job of setting the scene and adding a pinch of danger to the reunion of Ty and the woman he can’t seem to get out of his head, journalist Claire Fullerton, as she is dragged into his gang initiation. The emotions that whirl through the characters' heads in this dangerous situation were nicely evoked and really drew me into the moment adding to the drama and suspense of the story and yet the twist of excitement and the spark of their romantic connection added a distinctly sensual twist. And in that respect Meyers really knows her craft because she shows masterful talent at creating a moment that will live in the readers memory for a long, long time!

The characters themselves are quite interesting and I was a little disappointed to not see them a bit more fully explored. I would have liked to know more about them, but despite my own desires, they were actually quite well developed. Regardless of the fact we are thrust quickly into their lives, there's just something about them that is completely believable. There is a great vulnerability to each of them and yet they are both strong characters that you can instantly relate to. The simmering connection is also one that cannot be ignored and truly to describe it as merely steamy would be a vast understatement. This novella is an inferno of passion and fantasy speared with romance that leaves the world behind. Literally, you forget what their dire situation is and simply enjoy their time together.

Ultimately, this novel was so well written and thrilling that I was utterly disappointed when it ended. In fact, the shortness of the novel was really the biggest flaw that I found with it. It seemed like there was so much more story left to explore and yet it just ended leaving the tantalizing promise of more. Depressing, no?

Anyhow, all in all, this was one novella that I can highly recommend. The characters are unbelievably sexy and the romance will draw you in. This novella is well developed, highly erotic and extremely addictive. I can NOT wait for the next installment! Needless to say, this was my first time reading anything by Ava Meyers and her writing does not disappoint. Will definitely be adding her into my 'must read' list.

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Scars

Advisory: Graphic sexual content including m/f/m
