About Wenj

I'm in my late 20's and I've been an avid book lover since my childhood. In my youth I became addicted to horror novels and now read just about anything that falls under the paranormal/supernatural umbrella. However, as obstinant as I was in my youth, I've reently come to expand my horizons and have begun reading just about anything that I can get my hands on with few exceptions.

And yet, despite all the years I've been reading, I only just started reviewing books a little over a year ago at GoodReads and that was mainly due to sevreal friend always asking if I'd read anything good lately. After a year of sharing my obsessions via GoodReads, I then decided it was time to step it up a notch and thus Black Lagoon Reviews was born.

But, while reading is a passion, it's not my only one and Black Lagoon Reviews was actually spawned from my fanart site Black Lagoon. For those unfamiliar with the term, fanart is exactly what it implies: fan created art. On my site I cover all of my obsessions, from celebrities to tv and movies and last, but not least book art in which I bring to life my perfect fancasts for the novels that I love. BL has been open since 2005 when a friend graciously offered my art a home despite the fact that I couldn't understand why. Because of his support, and the support of the fanarting community in general, I have been able to accomplish more then I ever thought possible in regards to graphic design adn they have loyal supported me even in my bookish endeavors. Truly, the fanart community has become such a large part of my life and I hope to include the booking community now as well.

So, as this is not the first, nor the only site that I manage, I hope with your help to make this site grow and flourish. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments, or if you would like to see particular features added. I am always open to suggestions on how to improve this site and make it more beneficial to my viewers.
